
Statutory audit are conducted in order to report the state of a company’s finance and account to the government.
Companies are required to submit an Independent Auditor’s as well as Directors’ Statement as part of their annual filing requirements. Only companies which have an annual turnover of over S$10 million, more than 20 shareholders or at least one shareholder that is corporate entity, must be audited. This audit is to be conducted by a qualified and independent auditor.
